This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for tickets bought through cheevo. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. cheevo is operated by Issorite (issorite.com), registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
1. cheevo's role
cheevo is a marketplace and technology provider. Events are created and run by independent organizers, and ticket prices and any event-specific refund terms are set by the organizer of each event. cheevo facilitates payment and, where a refund is approved, processes it back to your original payment method. cheevo is not the host of any event and does not guarantee refunds.
2. All sales are final unless a refund is granted
When you complete an order, the sale is final unless a refund is expressly approved under this Policy or as required by applicable law. Whether a refund is available for a particular order depends on the organizer's policy for that event and the circumstances described below.
3. When you may be eligible for a refund
You may be eligible for a refund where:
- the event is cancelled by the organizer;
- the event is rescheduled or materially changed and you can no longer attend;
- you were charged in error or charged more than once for the same order; or
- a refund is required under applicable law.
Other refund requests — for example, a change of mind, or being unable to attend for personal reasons — are at the discretion of the organizer and cheevo, and are not guaranteed.
4. How refunds are issued
- Refunds are processed by cheevo back to the original payment method used for the order. We cannot refund to a different account or by another method.
- Refunds are issued for the full order amount. Partial refunds are not supported.
- When an order is refunded, the tickets from that order are cancelled and can no longer be used for entry.
- Tickets that have already been scanned for entry are considered used and are not eligible for refund.
- Service fees and payment processing charges may be non-refundable except where required by law or where the event is cancelled.
Once a refund is approved, the funds are returned to your payment provider. The time it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside cheevo's control.
5. Event cancellations, reschedules, and changes
If an organizer cancels, reschedules, or materially changes an event, the organizer is primarily responsible for addressing affected orders. cheevo may, at its discretion, help facilitate refunds in these cases, but is not obligated to fund refunds itself. We recommend keeping an eye on communications from the organizer about the event.
6. Free events and RSVPs
Free events and RSVPs involve no payment, so there is nothing to refund. You can cancel an RSVP at any time from within the app.
7. How to request a refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund:
- First, contact the event organizer through the event, where possible — they manage their own events and refund decisions.
- If you cannot reach the organizer, or your request concerns a duplicate or erroneous charge, contact us at support@cheevo.events with your order details and the reason for your request.
Please do not initiate a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank before contacting us. Doing so without giving us a chance to help may result in your tickets being voided and your account being suspended, in line with our Terms of Service.
8. Fraud and abuse
We may decline or reverse refunds, and void tickets, where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, or a breach of our Terms of Service.
